LOOK | The  8th Bicol Agri Summit kicked off today, June 25, 2025 at the Robinsons Place Naga. The summit which will run until June 28 featured 80 exhibitors showcasing different agriculture and non-agri products.

Some 25 exhibitors were invited by DA-Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD); 12 from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR); 6 from the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI-RTC 5), and 37 private companies, showcasing technologies, products, and services that support agricultural growth and sustainability.

The annual summit is being staged by the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CSCCI), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture in Bicol.

This year’s summit which will run until June 28  banners the theme:  “Amplifying Networks, Nurturing Innovations, and Economic Breakthrough,” bringing together local farming communities, agribusiness stakeholders, and policy advocates to strengthen collaboration.

DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr. was the key note speaker. His speech was delivered by Dr. Mary Grace DP. Rodriguez, OIC – Regional Technical Director for Operations. Sec. Laurel underscored  the agency’s commitment to innovation, inclusive growth, and building stronger partnerships to empower the region’s agri-fishery sector.
