Bicol RPAB approves P153.57M subprojects, including first I-REAP subproject under DA PRDP Scale-Up in South Luzon

The Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) approved and endorsed three proposed subprojects worth a total of P153.57 million for funding under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Scale-Up during the RPAB meeting held in Legazpi City, Albay on June 30, 2025.

Two infrastructure development (I-BUILD) subprojects, namely the P54.98 million-worth Improvement/Rehabilitation of Ligao City Slaughterhouse in Ligao City, Albay and the Establishment of Del Gallego Slaughterhouse amounting to P43.94 million in the Municipality of Del Gallego, Camarines Sur were approved for funding under the PRDP. Meanwhile, the Pilinio Taro Production, Drying, and Marketing Enterprise in Pili, Camarines Sur which costs P54.64 million became the first enterprise development (I-REAP) subproject in South Luzon to be approved for funding under the PRDP Scale-Up.

The RPAB is an inter-agency body tasked to review and approve all subprojects for funding and implementation by the DA PRDP. The RPAB members who participated were: Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Director Dindo Nabol, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer (CARPO) Lerma Dino, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Fisheries Management Regulatory and Enforcement Division Chief Junalin B. Barcellano, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Project Evaluation Officer (PEO) III John Michael Gangawan, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Planning Division Chief Engr. Harley Peter M. Paras, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Engineer IV Engr. Sharon Matias, and Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council (RAFC) Chairperson Claudia Esmeralda Honrado. DA PRDP Bicol Deputy Project Director Engr. Teodoro C. Eleda, National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) Bicol Regional Director Dr. Alex B. Templonuevo, PRDP Bicol I-REAP Component Head Patrocinio B. Collao I, Procurement Unit Head Imelda P.
