LAGONOY, CAMARINES SUR – The Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF), the corporate social responsibility arm of Jollibee Foods Corporation, conducted a site validation and assessment of the Lagonoy Calamansi Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (LACAFA AGRI-COOP), a calamansi-producing cluster composed of 67 farmer-members from the municipalities of Lagonoy and Goa, Camarines Sur, of about 119 hectares.

The activity forms part of the cooperative’s application process to become a partner under the Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP), a flagship initiative of JGF that empowers farmers by linking them to institutional markets such as the Jollibee Group. LACAFA was also a beneficiary of the Calamansi Processing Facility from the DA – High Value Crops Development Program (DA-HVCDP) in 2022, amounting to ₱6 million.

The cooperative is currently undergoing the Agro-Enterprise Clustering Approach, a strategy supported by JGF and implemented through the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation (F2C2) Program of the Department of Agriculture to help farmer organizations strengthen internal operations and enhance their preparedness for market engagement.
