๐—ก๐—”๐—š๐—” ๐—–๐—œ๐—ง๐—ฌ – In a collaborative effort to serve the public, the Department of Agriculture Regional Office 5 (DA RFO 5) and the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSPPO) officially launched the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) at Camp Colonel Juan Querubin Miranda, Concepcion Grande, Naga City on April 15, 2025. Partner agencies and stakeholders such as the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Philippine National Police (PNP) were also represented during the launch.

In his message, PCol. Virgilio O. Olalia Jr., Provincial Director of CSPPO, emphasized that the initiative is a significant undertaking that reflects the values of unity and public service. He described the KNP not merely as a marketplace but as a symbol of cooperation and compassion among government institutions, working together to uplift one of the most vital sectors in the societyโ€” the farmers.

PCol. Olalia further expressed that opening the PNP camp to host the KNP serves as a gateway not just for security and public order but also for livelihood and community empowerment. The program enables agricultural cooperatives and local producers to sell their goods inside the camp, giving the public direct access to fresh, quality, and affordable products.

A total of 11 exhibitors participated in the launch. The KNP at Camp Miranda is now open to the public every 15th and 30th of the month, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and will be adjusted accordingly if the dates fall on a weekend to ensure maximum accessibility for both vendors and consumers.

Representing DA Regional Executive Director Rodel P. Tornilla, Kadiwa ng Pangulo Focal Person Alden Jesus Ragay shared the background of the programโ€™s institutionalization. He noted that the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the DA, PNP and other partner agencies, which allows for the establishment of KNP sites in PNP camps, was officially signed on April 3, 2025. The same day also marked the regional launching of the initiative in Bicol.

Moreover, Ragay encouraged everyone to continuously support local farmers and the agriculture sector by patronizing local products, as this is crucial to realizing the shared vision of a Masaganang Bagong Pilipinas.

The Kadiwa ng Pangulo is a flagship program of the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., aimed at improving food accessibility and supporting local agricultural enterprises by connecting producers directly to consumers.
