PRESS RELEASE No 40 Pili, Camarines Sur – About 30 delegates from the various regions of the country consisting of key program implementors of the DA High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP) participated recently in the week-long write shop to craft the Operations Manual of the program.
The activity was spearheaded by the Office of the Undersecretary for High Value Crops and Rural Credit headed by USEC. Evelyn G. Laviña. It was held in one of the hotels in Naga City.
The operations manual which shall be the output of the workshop will include guidelines on HVCDP implementation of its various projects and activities, best practices, lessons learned to guide the program implementors of the incoming administration. Bicol Agriculture Regional Executive Director Rodel P. Tornilla in his welcome message commended this initiative of the HVCDP saying that “the activity is very timely, not only because of the imminent transition in the government in the government organization following the May 09 National Election, but more so, that the DA Bicol is gearing up towards ISO 9001:2015 certification to establish a Quality Management System to ensure that the delivery of our services conform to the highest standards.”
Also present virtually during the workshop was Director Gerald Glen F. Panganiban, National Program Director of Urban Agriculture Program. Dr. Mary Grace DP. Rodriguez, Chief of the Field Operations Division and Regional Focal Person of the High Value Crops Development Program coordinated the activity. (Emily B.
