The Department of Agriculture-5 participated in the Validation of Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program’s Accomplishments on January 20, 2023 at Camp BGen Simeon Ola, Legazpi City by turning-over vegetable seeds and IEC materials to PMaj Gil Escalante.

BIDA Program is a nationwide anti-illegal drugs advocacy program involving LGUs, national government agencies, and other key sectors. Philippine National Police National Focal Person for BIDA Program PLtGen Rhodel O. Semonia commended the successful implementation of the program in the Bicol Region because of the strong “spirit of volunteerism and partnership” as shown by the more than a thousand attendees from different barangay, municipal, provincial governments and regional government and non-government agencies.

Aside from the distribution of government interventions, the one-day activity featured lectures on Mental Reproductive Health, Salient Provision of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Effects of Illegal Drugs Physical and Mental Effects.
