DA Bicol Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS) joins the Serbisyo Caravan spearheaded by the Philippine Information Agency Camarines Sur provincial office at San Jose, Camarines Sur.
With the theme “Serbisyo kan gobyerno, Direkta sa Tao” – the said caravan was the first of its kind conducted by the CamSur Communicators Network (CamSur ComNet) which DA is a member.
The info caravan was also in partnership with the LGU of San Jose, Partido through Mayor Jerold B. Pena.
With the Department of Agriculture were 13 national government agencies such as the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Dept. of Agrarian Reform (DAR) – CamSur II, Dept. of Science and Technology (DOST), the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) RDO66-Iriga City, National Irrigation Administration (NIA), TESDA, Department of Information & Communication Technology (DICT), National Grid Corporation (NGCP), National Telecommunication Commission (NTC), Globe Telecom, SMART, DITO, and the Consuelo ‘Chito’ Madrigal Foundation (CCMF)-Bicol
Also present during the one-day caravan were the three giant telecommunications companies that conducted SIM card registration.
Lovella P. Guarin, Chief of the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section and DA Bicol Spokesperson discussed the current programs and activities of the Department of Agriculture.
The DA Bicol RSBSA team on the other hand conducted an on-site registration where 15 farmers were assisted in their registration to the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA)
Lizel Macatangay, PIA 5 newly appointed Assistant Regional Director said that the DA booth was considered a blockbuster among all agencies due to the long lines of people who queued for the planting materials, vegetable seeds and IEC materials at the DA booth.
Mayor Jerold Pena of San Jose thanked the members of the CamSur ComNet for staging the successful event.
