QUEZON CITY – DA Bicol Regional Executive Director Rodel P. Tornilla personally received the two mobile disinfection trucks worth P3.5 M each from the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) on July 14, 2022.

The BAI gave mobile disinfection trucks to all regions in an effort to stop the spread of African Swine Fever (ASF) and other transboundary diseases of animals.

Tornilla said that the two trucks will be stationed at Tabugon, Sta. Elena, Cam. Norte entry point and Matnog, Sorsogon exit point.

Twenty (20) municipalities in the four provinces of Bicol are now upgraded from Red Zone to Pink Zone, meaning these areas are cleared of ASF.

Tornilla signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with BAI together with Michael Angelo delos Santos, chief of the General Services Section (GSS) of DA RFO 5.
