MATAASNAKAHOY, BATANGAS – “It’s a challenge for the Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO) to achieve more best accomplishments.” This was the response of PRDP-Bicol Deputy Project Director Adelina Losa as she receives the Best Overall Performance Award for Bicol RPCO during the PRDP Project Support Office South Luzon-RPCO 1st Quarter Assessment and 2nd Quarter Planning Workshop held on April 10-12, 2019, this municipality.
Bicol RPCO bagged eight out of 11 awards recognizing PRDP components, units and RPCOs with exemplary performance in various components and units during the clusterwide 1st Quarter Assessment. These are: the Best Performing RPCO (I-PLAN Component) for the translation of new Value Chain Analysis (VCAs) to Provincial Commodity Investment Plans (PCIPS), Best Performing RPCO (I-BUILD) in terms of physical progress; Best Performing RPCO (I-BUILD) in terms of financial progress, Highest Portfolio of Completed Subprojects (I-REAP), Best Performing RPCO in terms of physical progress (I-REAP), Best Performing RPCO in terms of financial progress (I-REAP), and Best Managed Management Information System (MIS).
As of March 31, 2019, Bicol has a 1.20 billion-worth of obligation and 0.57 billion cumulative disbursement in terms of infrastructure development (I-BUILD). Bicol achieved 47 percent of the actual physical and financial progress.
Meanwhile, for enterprise development (I-REAP), Bicol has a P90.99 million-worth of obligation and P49.47 million cumulative disbursement. The RPCO was able to achieve 27 percent of its physical target and 54 percent financial progress.
Furthermore, PRDP Project Support Office South Luzon Deputy Project Director Shandy Hubilla reminded the RPCOs to practice consistency, commitment and cooperation to hit the cluster’s physical and financial targets for April and May 2019.
Bicol will also host the upcoming 8th World Bank Implementation Support Mission for South Luzon in Catanduanes in May 29-June 1, 2019. (Annielyn L. Baleza, DA-RAFIS V)
PRDP PSO South Luzon Deputy Project Director Shandy Hubilla and PRDP PSO South Luzon Director Arnel De Mesa remind the RPCOs of their vital role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of subproject implementation particularly in terms of achieving the cluster’s physical and financial progress.
PRDP consultants meet with their counterparts from Calabarzon and MIMAROPA to address issues and concerns affecting their respective components and units and to plan on how to achieve their April-May 2019 targets.
