His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos , Jr together with Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel, Jr led the distribution of a total P471.8 M worth of interventions to farmers and fisherfolks in Camarines Sur at the Capitol grounds on June 7, 2024.

In his speech, DA Secretary Tiu Laurel cited other big ticket projects of DA in Cam. Sur such as P1.2B Food Terminal Inc. and Farm to Market Roads.

Interventions received by the farmers included 38,615 bags hybrid rice seeds worth P193M and fertilizer discount vouchers for 39,711 hectares worth P135M, RFFA P5,000 cash assistance totalling P42.96M, corn and cassava equipment worth P4.4M, 10 Gulayan sa Bgy Packages worth P649,250, and iNSPIRE pigkets worth P1.3M.

DA Bicol RED Rodel P. Tornilla said that interventions from other DA attached agencies include: from Philrice 82,592 bags certified rice seeds; from PhilMech 3 4WD worth P6.8 M; from Sugar Regulatory Administration 2 Rapid Nursery Propagation Project worth P170,000; from Agricultural Credit Policy Council AgriNegosyo loan worth P10M; from BFAR bottom set gil nets and 10 units 18 footer boats, bangus fingerlings worth P1.38M; and from Phil. Crops Insurance Corp. (PCIC) P6.8M worth insurance for El Nino affected farmers (Lovella P. Guarin DA RAFIS 5)
