NAGA CITY – Through the combined efforts of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the distribution of P15,000 Sustainable Livelihood Program Economic Relief Subsidy (SLP ERS) to rice retailers in Bicol commenced today.

In Naga City, the distribution was held at the Robinsons Place in Triangulo. A total of 67 micro rice retailers are targeted to be provided with cash assistance totaling P1,005,000.00.

Present during the distribution in Naga City were DSWD Assistant Regional Director Melchor L. Sanano; DA Bicol – Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance (AMAD) chief Adelina A Losa; DTI Camarines Sur provincial director Jay Percival S. Ablan; and DILG Cam. Sur Provincial Director Julius Rodel Cal-Ortiz.

The same distribution is happening today in Sorsogon City and Legazpi City. In Legazpi City, some 154 micro rice retailers will receive a total of P2,310,000.00, while in Sorsogon City, 179 micro rice retailers are target recipients of a total P2,685,000.00.

The distribution of SLP ERS will continue tomorrow for the provinces of Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, and Masbate. (Lovella Guarin – DA RAFIS 5)
