SAN AGUSTIN, Pili, Camarines Sur—“Modern Technology is not only for millenials but for everyone especially in the Department of Agriculture (DA) to help us improve our efficiency and productivity in our service. Kaya, sana, gabos na kaaraman na makukua nindo digdi, gamiton para mapakarhay an satong serbisyo.”

This was the encouraging message of the Regional Technical Director for Operations and Extension Rodel P. Tornilla to over 20 employees who participated in the Training on Computer Application and Data Management held on January 30, 2019 at the DA-Library here.

Spearheaded by the Human Resource Management Section, this training was conducted based on the 2018 Training Needs Assessment of 252 permanent employees.

HRMS OIC-Chief Marilou D. Bordon said that their office will continue to initiate programs to enhance the skills of the growing DA-Bicol employees as part of their learning and development.

Lourelie Castro of the Regulatory Division said that this training will help her in her clerical responsibilities especially the topic on Microsoft Excel. She is looking forward for more hands-on training on computer application.

Main speaker Mariano A. Sta. Clara, Jr. of the Integrated Laboratory Division discussed the Basic Computer Application and Program which include Microsoft Word, Powerpoint Presentation and Microsoft Excel and was assisted by the staff of the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office of DA-Bicol.
