MALILIPOT, ALBAY – The National Program Management Office of the High Value Crops Management Program (HVCDP) conducted the Workshop on the encoding and uploading of the HVCDP targets using the Operations Management Information System (O-MIS), in this municipality. The event was held on February 14-16, 2024 at Gamboa’s Orchard Farm a Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA).

The event was attended by the focal persons, report officers and encoders from HVCDP and staffs from the Monitoring Section of the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED) of the different regions from Luzon and representatives from the different attached agencies namely; Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM), Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR), Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), and Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI).

O-MIS is one of the systems being used by the Department of Agriculture in the submission of the targets and accomplishments of the different program of the agency. The agency started using O-MIS since 2019 solely for the use of the Rice Program and on 2023 HVCDP also adopted the reporting system.

Kristelle Lorriz P. Carino, Project Development Officer II from Field Programs Operational Planning Division (FPOPD)-OMIS discussed the process on how to submit the targets and accomplishments using O-MIS. She also discussed the innovations made in the system.

Dr. Mary Grace DP. Rodriguez, OIC-Regional Technical Director for Operations welcomed the guest and participants. She also challenged the participants to attain 100 percent on their targets for the year 2024. (VE Pasumbal)
